Unlock Carpenter from the Knowledge menu.

You can access the Knowledge window by pressing ToggleRecipeInventory.

You will need to craft Stone Consolidants for your buildings.

You can access the Knowledge window by pressing ToggleRecipeInventory.

Stone Consolidant functions as a temperature-resistant mortar and is a key ingredient in the crafting of most buildings and furnaces.

Hardened Bricks are used when building sturdy structures.

Place fuel, Bricks, and Stone Consolidant in the Furnace inventory and activate it by pressing the Play button.

A dryer will be used for drying wood and obtaining tar.

Unlock Dried Preserves from the Knowledge menu.

By placing wood and bark in your dryer, you will create Dry wood and Resin.

Place Bark and Wood in the Dryer inventory and activate it by pressing the Play button.

As a Journeyman Mason, you will learn how to use Insulated Wood and Iron Reinforcements to improve your buildings.

Unlock Journeyman Mason from the Knowledge menu.

This wood has been treated with resin, making it stronger and more weather resistant. It is a requirement for buildings, high quality weapons and sturdier décor.

This reinforcement is required to build sturdy buildings.

You can replace buildings by placing a higher quality building piece of the same type in the same location as an existing piece. The materials for the piece you are replacing will be returned to your inventory when doing so.

Use your Construction Hammer to build or upgrade an existing building-piece.

Wells provide you with a supply of water and a way of replenishing your waterskin.

Unlock Water Well from the Knowledge menu.

Wells fill over time and dry out temporarily if all their water is depleted. If you have only recently placed a well, you may need to wait for a short while before water starts collecting in it.

Use a Well by pressing Interact while looking at it.
